Standard (EADGBE)

As heard from the 2005 CD Anthology set The Works: 1970-2000

Lyrics are not completely accurate because of partial unintelligibility in the vocals.

In those spots, approximations were put in their place.

This tune is an oddball. It was a single from a 1967 album called The Parade,

which was by him. It's a bonus track on the set.

Be on my grasshopper

Jumpin' on down the road

Got some nothin' on my mind

Must know where to go

Won't you do a pretty thing

Start me a heavy conversation

She looked so good to me

Was a wonderful sensation

 I tuned in on her

Doncha know she tuned in on me

 I saw a sunny scene

Said she wasn't busy

Like me, nowhere to go

Stop for a taste of my band

Jagger on my stereo

She did jump on my hankies

So was a shooting star

Then she fell beneath the willow tree

Doncha know we laughed 'cuz we were wasted

 I tuned in on her

Doncha know she tuned in on me

 I saw a sunny scene

Done came off the staircase

Down way 'fore the count

Lingered love for a little while

Nighttime brought us out

I lost her where I found her

I gave her my quickie kiss goodbye

 Stopped right at the starlight

Saw me a new fox wavin' hi

 I tuned in on her

Doncha know she tuned in on me

I saw a

sunny scene My sunny scene My sunny scene (Repeat line until fade)
